Promoting a music album is a work of art in itself. To make a mark and gain valuable momentum for the latest release of Lost Frequencies, we created two immersive AR effects for Sony Music.
With a TikTok filter as well as a Snapchat Lens – both accompanied by an OOH postering campaign, the artist’s music and interactive elements – this album got augmented into a different dimension. A launch that couldn’t be missed!
Album art is back in fashion after never being out of fashion. But why not add a (literal) extra dimension to this timeless medium, with AR?
After scanning the album art, a 3D extension of the cover unfolds, inviting the user to solve a little spatial puzzle.
The reward? Getting eye to eye with their favourite artist!

During Amsterdam Dance Event in October 2023, this new album release was also promoted, together with two other artists, Purple Disco Machine and Sam Feldt.
The Snapchat Lens featured their new albums and/or gig during ADE with a sky-filling AR experience.
After activating the Lens via a QR-code on posters that were hung throughout the city of Amsterdam, the Snap user would find themselves literally surrounded by the artist, as their music and image light up in the sky.
With this larger-than-life visualisation, equalizers synchronising to the music, album cover & release date as well as a support act name randomizer based on your Snapchat username, this Lens delivered a fully immersive AR experience.
